Our mission: Giving voice to untold stories of peace and justice.
Through story art, we lift up everyday Peace Heroes whose stories are often invisible. The peace hero ideals they embody serve as a catalyst for empowering individuals and communities to reduce violence, teach peace, and promote justice.
We envision a world where nonviolence is a way of life and all people can better thrive. We support local, nonprofit initiatives that reflect Peace Hero Ideals. Each year we enlist critical support for nonprofit initiatives within the Sonoran Desert region that are often not widely known, underfunded and dependent on local volunteers.
The Andrea’s Storytrail entrance includes an iron sculpture, “Portal,” by local artist Lee Blackwell. It was donated to the Garden by family and friends of the late, Andrea Ferrell Anderson (1982 - 2022).
