About

The Tubac Buddhist Meditation Center (TMBC) was founded in 2006 as an outgrowth of a meditation group formed by Tubac-area residents almost 20 years ago. At that time, a small group decided to gather and meditate in an apartment across from the Tubac Cemetery. When it outgrew the original location, the group moved to Virginia Hall’s painting studio and named itself The Empty Brush Sangha. In 2006 the Empty Brush Sangha evolved into the Tubac Buddhist Meditation Center by establishing a public location for regular sitting meditation and instruction. The Center was incorporated in 2007.
