In addition to expanded and enhanced transit services, new bicycle and pedestrian safety infrastructure, improved signal technology, and wildlife linkage improvements across the greater Tucson region, the RTA has completed 19 roadway corridor projects with seven others that are partially completed. Nine of the remaining roadway corridor projects are at various stages of planning or design with activities to begin during 2026. Seven corridors, or remaining corridor segments, are part of the proposed RTA Next plan, which voters will consider next March. These seven projects require additional funding beyond the original project budget in the 2006 plan, and five of these projects also have revised scopes to better align with current The RTA financials for the completed fiscal year (through June 30, 2025), were recently audited with no findings or issues to report. To fulfill the RTA Board's commitment to deliver, the RTA has funding approved through June 2026 and additional RTA and regional funding programmed through 2029. During the most recent fiscal year, RTA tax revenue grew by 1.8% to $125.8 million. Although inflationary concerns have largely stabilized, project delivery continues to be affected by increased project costs. Other funding sources - above what the voter- approved, RTA half-cent sales tax is expected to generate through June 2026-have been identified to complete the 2006 plan projects: In addition to using incoming RTA revenues, the RTA will use dedicated federal and state dollars that come into the region.
