It is The Reinvented Hudbay Copper World Complex Announced June 8, 2022 This new Copper World Complex Project supersedes the prior Rosemont Project from the 2010s and the Copper World Project from March 2021, and is a 44-year venture split into two phases. The project is in part the result of the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals decision in May 2022 that upheld U.S. District Judge Soto's decision from July 2019. Judge Soto's 2019 decision vacated the US Forest Service's Rosemont Record Of Decision and shut the Rosemont project down. During these first 16 years the water used could supply approximately 28.200 single-family households per year, and approximately 42,000 single-family households per year for each of the remaining 28 years.
