These new or improved regional corridors often include new sidewalks, bike lanes, bus pullouts to FY 2017-18 RTA FINANCIAL REPORT Such improvements help people to safely, reliably and efficiently reach their destinations, such as home, a favorite restaurant, the doctor's office or school and to travel in an aesthetically pleasing transportation corridor. The RTA continues to invest annually in the regions transportation system to support our ongoing REVENUES Now in its 13th year, the RTA established a new 35-member citizens advisory committee ICAC) to help develop a continuation plan beyond June 2026, when the current half-cent excise tax expires. The CACis in place for three years to allow time for development of the plan with public input and for the RTA Board to determine when the time is right to schedule an election. This is an increase of 695 percent, from fiscal year 2016-17 collections, and revenvues in the first half of fiscal year 2018-19 continued to grow.
